a 70 mph sprint away

interestingly cheetahs, though built for speed, cannot defend its kill against other preditary animals, like hyenas... But it's said that they cope 'cos the next meal is just a 70 mph sprint away. Interesting to consider what the equivalent of a '70mph sprint' (means to the next meal) is for us diverse peeps of the 'not so big out there', and... maybe more NB, on a day-to-day level, can we protect our 'kill', and means of getting the/a next meal... :)
